Appointment requirements:

• All signers must be present at the appointment.

• Valid, government-issued photo identification is required.

• Documents should be complete and ready for notarization before the appointment.

• If witnesses are required, the signer is responsible for providing qualified witnesses unless other arrangements have been made in advance.

• The notary may refuse service when required by Idaho law.

Fees:

• Notarial fees are charged in accordance with Idaho law.

• Travel fees, convenience fees, and/or technology fees are separate from notarial fees.

• Additional fees apply for hospital or healthcare facility appointments.

Cancellations:

• If an appointment is canceled after the notary has begun traveling to the appointment location, the travel fee may still be charged.

• If the signer is unavailable or fails to appear within 15 minutes of the scheduled appointment time, the appointment may be considered a no-show and the travel fee may be charged.

Travel and timing:

• Appointment times are approximate and may vary due to traffic, weather, or prior appointments.

• The notary will communicate any delays.

No legal advice:

• The notary is not an attorney and cannot complete documents, provide legal advice, select notarial acts, or explain legal documents.

• Documents may be reviewed for notarial requirements, but the notary cannot determine whether a document is legally sufficient for its intended purpose.

Remote online notarizations:

• Signers must meet identity verification, credential analysis, and technology requirements.

• The signer is responsible for confirming that remote online notarization is accepted by the receiving organization.

• If a remote online notarization session has begun, fees may be charged even if the notarization cannot be completed due to technology, identity verification, credential analysis, or signer-related issues.
